haptic response display prototype
This project was produced for Bayer MaterialSceince as part of a project to find a way to provide material samples to OEM industrial designers. The goal was to showcase the materials in a context that did not suggest a particular use for them, but rather displayed its characteristics. This prototype was made by vacuum forming a series of abstract shapes that would, in theory, be connotative of the material they were made from. This display encourages the viewer to interact with tactile qualities of the material and would familiarize them with it's properties by dynamically responding to the viewer's touch. The dynamic graphics were created using Processing.
